Messages of hope

  • More Than Able

“I hope that most people would relate to me as a person rather than relate to me as someone who has a disability.“

On Face to Face this week we talk to Tim who was born with Cerebral Palsy, and to Cheryl, who suffered a stroke 18 years ago, at the age of 46. I hope you can listen in to how they cope with the challenges and remain optimistic about life.

“I’ve got so much hope for the future it’s incredible.“

  • Joy Beyond Shattered Dreams

“God isn’t a cruel trickster. He hasn’t left us in a dark box with a jigsaw puzzle to assemble without a torch.”

Have you ever felt stuck in the dark, with no way out? Life may be dark because you’ve lost your job, or someone you love. This week on Face to Face Noel Due shares how God does offer us a torch, to find a way through our dark times.

  • The Riddle

What exists now that didn’t 100 years ago? It’s an interesting riddle that my daughter asked me one day. It can have many different answers. Please join Rev Richard Fox this week as he works through this riddle and what it might mean for our lives. The riddle may be deeper than what you first think. So what exists now that didn’t 100 years ago?

  • Time Matters

"Time can be used or wasted, it can be invested or squandered, but either way, once used, it can never be regained."

Do you feel like you never have enough time? Or perhaps you wish you used some of your time differently? One sure thing about time is once it's gone you can't get it back. So how do we deal with that? On Face to Face this week Mark Doecke will be talking about time, and there is an offer of a free booklet about managing time better. Click here to listen now.

  • Gentleness – the power to change

“Gentleness and love go together; two sides of the one coin. You can’t have a gentle spirit towards someone you hate.

What does it mean to be gentle? Is it a weakness or a strength? Can gentleness change things? This week on Face to Face, Rev Dr Noel Due talks about God’s gentleness. It has the power to change lives. Click here to listen to this week's program.

  • Out Of Control

“We’ve all got areas of our life we’ve tried to control by willpower. You know how it goes, the more you think about not doing something, the more you do it”

Have you ever struggled with self control? Y’know, choosing not to have that extra piece of chocolate or one more beer. Maybe it’s retail therapy, and the credit card is maxxed out again. On Face to Face this week, Noel Due shares that self control, actually comes from letting go!

  • Happy Fathers Day!

Join us this week to listen to Rev Rob Schubert offer insights and encouragement to parents, especially fathers.

“My father seemed to know everything when I was little. As a teenager it’s amazing how much he’d forgotten! But then as an adult I realized he wasn’t bullet proof or out of touch. He was real. He had fears, failings and strengths just like me. I’m glad he was my dad.”

Thankfully we have a father who will always love us – thanks God!
