A GIFT IN MEMORY OF A LOVED ONE

How often do we see in the funeral notices "in lieu of flowers", donations to (name of deceased)...would be appreciated.

Lutheran Women in one country area have adopted this practice. Each time someone dies, they send Lutheran Media Ministry a donation of $20 "in Lieu" of flowers. Last year they raised approximately $150.00 to help spread God's Word through Radio TV, & the Internet.

A number of families have asked that instead of giving flowers family and friends give a donation to Lutheran Media Ministry. As a result of their thoughtfulness in two cases over $1,000 was given to support outreach through media as a special tribute to the loved one who had passed into eternal life with Christ.

Flowers fade and die, but God's Word lives forever.
